Good and Bad Poster

Good Poster

This is the good poster we chose. We felt that the figure in the foreground is much bigger than the figures in the background giving a sense of distance. In addition the figure in the foreground and much more details than the background emphasising the importance of this figure in the poster leaving no misunderstandings about the main character in this movie . This poster has a frame to keep the audience's attention focused within the frame. In addition, the picture guides the eyes of the audience. Her cigarette is pointing at the two figures in the background, we then follow the picture downwards towards the copy of the poster showing the title of the movie finally looking at the ring understanding that tiffany refers to the jewellery shop. This poster allows the audience to understand the nature and content of the movie without having to explain in words which I feel is why it is a good poster.

Bad Poster

This poster I feel is quite bad even though it is for sale because everything is cluttered together. There is no contrast between the different figures and the background. Everything is just black and different shades of grey. There is no contrast, no emphasis. I have no idea what this poster is about nor do I know whether its the crystals that is the main point or the potraits that are the important things in this poster. Overall it is a badly executed and boring poster.
